Lawrence Perkins has over eleven years of experience guiding both private and public companies through the turnaround process. He has played leading roles as a turnaround advisor, strategic consultant, investment banker, interim chief financial officer, chief restructuring officer and crisis manager to middle market companies and their various stakeholders. Larry has a broad range of industry experience, but specializes in manufacturing, healthcare, business services and retail.
Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie, Larry was the founder and CEO of El Molino Advisors, a boutique turnaround consulting firm focused on serving the middle market. Larry founded and grew El Molino from a one person firm to thriving practice with over fifteen assignments and twelve professionals over the course of four years.
Larry started his career as an associate in Arthur Andersen’s Strategy Group and was later recruited as a senior associate at a boutique investment banking firm in Southern California, specializing in distressed mergers & acquisitions, debtor advisory, creditor advisory and other traditional investment banking roles. He then provided consulting services under the umbrellas of Alvarez & Marsal and Nightingale & Associates, two premier firms in the operational turnaround industry.
Larry completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Larry is active on several community and corporate boards of directors. Larry was nominated as a finalist for the Mergers & Acquisition Magazine’s “40 under 40” in 2010 for his work in the turnaround field. |
