Greg Charleston, Senior Managing Director, leads Conway MacKenzie's Atlanta office and also leads the firm’s Healthcare Advisory Services Group. Mr. Charleston’s healthcare experience has involved hospital, home care, diagnostic imaging, medical equipment, and other healthcare service organizations. Mr. Charleston also has extensive experience in various other industries, including transportation, aviation, publishing, government, distribution, construction and automotive. He has served as Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) and as interim CEO and CFO on several engagements. Mr. Charleston served as CRO of Dippin’ Dots, a leading novelty ice cream maker, through its sale via a bankruptcy auction in order to generate proceeds to pay creditors. He was also CRO of a $200 million HVAC supplier and led the company through a successful out of court sale. Mr. Charleston served as CRO, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of a $100 million power supply service company. He managed the business through a state court receivership and successful sale through an active auction process. Before joining Conway MacKenzie, Mr Charleston was Vice President of Finance with, Thomson Gale, a major publishing firm. Prior to that, Mr. Charleston was with Ernst & Young where he provided consulting services in the areas of corporate restructuring and reorganization, mergers and acquisitions, and business and asset valuation. Mr. Charleston is a Certified Turnaround Professional, Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the CFA Institute. Mr. Charleston is the president of the Atlanta chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.
