Carl Seidman specializes in providing restructuring, valuation, dispute analysis, and forensic investigation services to distressed and non-distressed businesses in a variety of industries including manufacturing, automotive, real estate, and financial services. Mr. Seidman excels in the development and management of financial, business, and relative value models to help clients make important choices on strategic and tactical matters. He has assisted debtors in restructuring, treasury and cash flow management, business viability assessment, financial forecasting, and bankruptcy management.
Mr. Seidman's experience extends to appraising business enterprises and intangible assets for corporate transactions, litigation, and other general purposes in distressed and non-distressed capacities. He has significant experience in intellectual property matters, having valued intellectual assets or quantified IP damages in over a dozen intellectual property disputes involving sole proprietors, middle-market and Fortune 500 companies. His litigation consulting experience further includes bankruptcy dispute support, economic damages quantification, and fraud investigation. Much of his analyses have been used for expert testimony.
Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie, Mr. Seidman was with the Business Analytics & Strategy and Dispute Analysis & Investigations practices at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Seidman is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor, Certified Fraud Examiner, is Certified in Financial Forensics, and is an Accredited Member in Business Valuation by the American Society of Appraisers. He received his Master of Science in Managerial Accounting and Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Economics from Michigan State University. He holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, Turnaround Management Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. |
